Medicare, explained in plain English.
I'm Joseph Molina, an independent insurance agent in Allen, Texas. I teach Medicare classes around North Texas and sit down one-on-one with people turning 65, retiring, or wondering whether the plan they have still fits.

Thirteen years as a classroom teacher taught me how to explain a complicated subject to somebody who isn't already fluent in it. That's the whole job here. No pressure, no jargon, and no charge for my help.

Free Medicare classes
Medicare 101 is a straightforward 90-minute class at a library, church or community center. Parts A, B, C and D in order. Original Medicare compared with Medicare Advantage. Supplements, drug plans, enrollment dates, and the mistakes that cost people money.
These are educational events. No plan-specific benefits are discussed and no applications are taken. Family members welcome. No cost to attend.
Who I work with
Turning 65
What to do, in what order, and by when — including whether to take Part B now if you're still working.
Already on Medicare
A yearly review against your doctors, your prescriptions and next year's plan changes.
Veterans
VA coverage isn't a substitute for Medicare, and plenty of veterans have been told otherwise.
Retired Texas educators
Weighing TRS-Care against other options, including the cases where staying put is right.
Why I do this
Helping my mom sort out her Medicare showed me how hard a system built for older people can be to actually use, and how much of the available "help" is really a sales call.
I'd rather teach the class, answer the questions, and let people decide for themselves.

Not sure where to start?
Call and ask one question, or sit down for an hour and go through the whole thing. Either is fine, and neither costs you anything.
